Why do I need to use a conditioner?
In a great conditioner, you’ll find a ton of ingredients that will make a huge difference in your waves or curls. Revive is not only packed with slip agents, emollients, moisture sealants, detanglers and humectants, but it also includes Hydrolyzed Rice Protein for increased strengthening. With protection like this, your hair is less susceptible to losing it's moisture and it tangles less (because the cuticles are flattened) reducing the chance of breakage.
Do I use a leave-in-conditioner after Revive?
Yes. After Revive Conditioner, follow up with FORM Multitask Leave-In-Lotion for increased conditioning and detangling. Multitask also serves as a styling primer.
How do I deep condition with Revive?
For more intense conditioning, apply to dry hair as a pre-wash or leave on clean, wet hair for about 15-30 minutes to deep condition. Use heat for best results. You can trap in heat with a shower cap wrapped in a warm, damp towel when you deep condition. As an alternative, steamy hot showers and hair steamers work well too. No hair steamer? A fabric steamer does the trick!
Can I use Revive conditioner as a leave-in?
Revive should be washed out. It should not be used as a leave-in. But no fear, we’ve got you covered there too. After Revive, follow up with FORM Multitask Leave-In-Lotion for increased conditioning and slip. Multitask also serves as a styling primer and styling refresher.
Can I co-wash with Revive?
You can, but we strongly recommend a gentle wash with either Clarify or Cleanse Shampoo instead, followed by your recommended FORM conditioner. Co-washing can eventually lead to buildup and dullness. Buildup causes additional issues such as dryness, stunted hair growth, and breakage.
Does Revive conditioner have any protein?
Revive includes Hydrolyzed Rice Protein for those that need a little extra help maintaining the protein to moisture balance that is so crucial for healthy hair.
If your hair is damaged or has been through any chemical treatments or processes, coloring, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein can help strengthen and repair your vulnerable locks by filling in the gaps of overly porous cuticles. Once these gaps are filled and your cuticles are sealed and flatten, you’re on your way to softer, more manageable curls that are less prone to breakage and tangling.
